As a culturally responsive & trauma-informed clinician, I am dedicated to reducing the stigma around mental health and improving access to support. I believe that feeling 'Safe and Connected' is essential at the core of our existence and relationships. When we are neglected or ignored, it can lead to vulnerable emotions such as guilt/shame, sadness, loneliness, and anger. Bottling up these emotions not only strain our belief system but leads to feelings of disconnect from ourselves, others, and society. Sue Monk Kidd once said, "Stories have to be told or they die, and when they die, we can't remember who we are or why we are here."
